The Garden Project has evolved within the grounds of Moray Resource Centre and gradually developed using ‘Railways’ as its theme. The grounds were formerly the old railway marshalling yards and with considerable effort from clients, volunteers and staff have grown to become an established feature at the Centre.
The Project helps clients build self confidence and provides opportunities to engage in healthy exercise, fresh air and social interaction through horticultural, therapeutic and educational activities.
We have three greenhouses, which clients can use to propagate seeds, or grow a variety of plants/vegetables, including tomatoes, cucumbers and a vine. Specially adapted gardening tools are available to aid participation in the numerous garden tasks. The garden is fully accessible.
