Shopping Buddy – ref KE63 (reopened 28/8/19)

When – 2 hours once a week                                                                                                       
Role – To support lady to go shopping
Tasks – To support lady to go shopping. To provide social contact. Observe policies and procedures, maintain boundaries, attend training and reviews.
Skills required – An awareness of the difficulties experienced by people with mobility difficulties  desirable but not essential. Training provided. Patience, good communication skills, reliable and committed, trustworthy and respectful, ability to maintain boundaries and follow policies and procedures.  PVG check required, paid for by Moray Council

Social Buddy – ref KE76 (3/7/18)

When – 2 hours once a week (Rothiemay)                                                                                                      
Role – To support lady to go out in the community
Tasks – To visit with lady at home and support to go out in the community for coffee. To explore activities that may be of interest to her. To provide social contact and improve emotional wellbeing. Observe policies and procedures, maintain boundaries, attend training and reviews.
Skills required – An awareness of the difficulties experienced by people with mobility difficulties  desirable but not essential. Training provided. Patience, good communication skills, reliable and committed, trustworthy and respectful, ability to maintain boundaries and follow policies and procedures.  PVG check required, paid for by Moray Council

Fishing/Social Buddy – ref KE77 (3/7/18)

When – 3 – 4 hours once a week                                                                                                       
Role – To support gentleman to go fly fishing
Tasks – To support gentleman to go fly fishing. To provide social interaction and improve emotional wellbeing. Observe policies and procedures, maintain boundaries, attend training and reviews.
Skills required – An awareness of the difficulties experienced by people with mobility and stroke related difficulties desirable but not essential. Training provided. Patience, good communication skills, reliable and committed, trustworthy and respectful, ability to maintain boundaries and follow policies and procedures.  PVG check required, paid for by Moray Council

Social Buddy – ref KE95 (25/2/20)

When – 2 hours once a week                                                                                                          
Role – To visit with lady and support to go out in the community   
Tasks – To visit with lady and support to go out in the local community. To explore groups and activities that may be of interest to her eg knitting group. To reduce social isolation and promote emotional wellbeing. Observe policies and procedures, maintain boundaries, attend training and reviews.
Skills required – Training provided. Patience, good communication skills, reliable and committed, trustworthy and respectful, ability to maintain boundaries and follow policies and procedures.  PVG check required, paid for by Moray Council

Alarm Responder x 2 ref KE96 (27/2/20)

When – as required, emergency situations only
Role – Community Alarm responder/keyholder for gentleman – must live within 30 minutes travel time   
Tasks – call and check well being of person who has activated alarm.  Observe policies and procedures, maintain boundaries, attend training and reviews.
Skills required – Understanding, calm in difficult situations, level headed, Standard Disclosure check required, paid for by Moray Council
