Social Buddy – ref TO03 (19/5/17)

When – 2 hours once a week  (Tomintoul)                                                                                                       
Role – To visit with gentleman and support to go out in the community  
Tasks – To visit with gentleman for coffee and chat and support to go out in the local community. To pursue activities which may be of interest to him eg fishing and birdwatching. To provide social contact and help maintain independence.  Observe policies and procedures, maintain boundaries, attend training and reviews.
Skills required –  An awareness of difficulties experienced by people with mobility difficulties desirable but not essential. Training provided. Patience, good communication skills, reliable and committed, trustworthy and respectful, ability to maintain boundaries and follow policies and procedures.  PVG check required, paid for by us

Social Buddy – ref DU26 (7/1/19)

When – 2 – 3 hours once a week  (Dufftown)  - male volunteer required                                                                                                  
Role – To support gentleman to go out in the community
Tasks – To visit with gentleman and support to attend activities and to visit places which are historical/cultural. To provide social contact and improve emotional wellbeing. Observe policies and procedures, maintain boundaries, attend training and reviews.
Skills required – An awareness of the difficulties experienced by people with mobility difficulties desirable but not essential. Training provided. Patience, good communication skills, reliable and committed, trustworthy and respectful, ability to maintain boundaries and follow policies and procedures.  PVG check required, paid for by Moray Council

Social/Shopping Buddy – ref DU28 (2/4/19)

When – 2 hours once a week                                                                                                          
Role – To visit with lady and support to go out shopping  
Tasks – To visit with lady and support to go shopping and out for coffee. Observe policies and procedures, maintain boundaries, attend training and reviews.
Skills required – An awareness of the difficulties experienced by people with mobility difficulties (wheelchair user) desirable but not essential. Training provided. Patience, good communication skills, reliable and committed, trustworthy and respectful, ability to maintain boundaries and follow policies and procedures.  PVG check required, paid for by Moray Council

Alarm Responder x 2 ref DU29 (20/5/19)

When – as required, emergency situations only
Role – Community Alarm responder/keyholder for lady – must live within 30 minutes travel time   
Tasks – call and check well being of person who has activated alarm.  Observe policies and procedures, maintain boundaries, attend training and reviews.
Skills required – Understanding, calm in difficult situations, level headed, Standard Disclosure check required, paid for by Moray Council
