The council held a series of roadshows and workshops across the area to gain public views on spending priorities for the next four years.
The council has to find savings of £30million from its budget over this period. Faced with such a challenge – which will impact on some services - the council sought views from the public on what services they wished to protect.
As well as the roadshows the public have been able to post suggestions online, and also undertake the interactive Budget Challenge.
These online platforms ended on Friday December 21st, after which the analysis of all responses will commence.
The analysis was presented to the council’s ruling administration group to assist the budget proposals, and will be presented to the Full Council in February. A full analysis can be found on the council’s website.
