FOI Request - HGV Restrictions
1. Details of any time restrictions placed on HGVs in the local authority’s area which desire access to load and unload goods on roads maintained by the council.
a. If restrictions are in place:
i. When were they first put in place.
ii. What reason is given by the council for the continuation of the restrictions.
1. The roads that are under the control of Moray Council currently have no time restrictions placed on HGV's to carry out loading or unloading.
1a. The pedestrianised section of Elgin High Street has restrictions that prohibit the movement of vehicles between the hours of 11am and 4pm (these were brought into place on 13 January 2005) but these are applied equally to all vehicle types. These restrictions are in place to ensure that it is safe for pedestrian use.
