FOI Request - Inspection & Maintenance of Building Facade

We require the following information:

(1) Information, including sight of any written documents, electronic communication or photographic material detailing the procedures and obligations of the Council concerning inspection and maintenance of a facade to a building for which they have responsibility.

(2) Information, including sight of any written documents, electronic communication or photographic material detailing exactly what parts of the building the Council would require to inspect and maintain in terms of the definition of "finishes" as referred to within a Land Certificate.

(3)  Information, including sight of any written documents, electronic communication or photographic material detailing exactly what parts of the building the Council would require to inspect and maintain in terms of the definition of "screeds" as referred to within a Land Certificate.

Moray Council carry out a 5 yearly condition survey of all our buildings at present, which includes inspection of the external surfaces/finishes. Any issues highlighted are dealt with as part of our ongoing maintenance programme and noted in condition reports.

In addition we have also had a recent 'high level stonework' survey carried out on a number of buildings which has resulted in some works programmes to deal with some minor issues.
