(1) We send title deeds for registration and we get property reports from them.

(2) Various officers within Legal Services.

(3) To manage the Council’s property portfolio and effect registration of title.

(4) No.

(5) DX post and electronically using RoS forms.

(6) Various officers within Legal Services send the information to RoS.  The office address is The Moray Council, High Street, Elgin, IV30 1BX.

(7) There is only one official land register in Scotland.

(8) Yes

(9) Are family members aware of the death? Yes

If the family members are aware of the death, then why is the council taking on this responsibility? The family members are maybe not in a position to arrange the funeral or are not willing too.

What did it/will it cost the council for the funeral to take place? Approximately £1,100.

When will the funeral take place? As soon as possible, but depends on the circumstances surrounding the death.
