1. How many gritting vehicles and drivers does your authority have for 2013? How many did you have in 2012

2. How many snowploughs and drivers does your authority have for 2013? How many did you have in 2012

3. How much salt/grit (tonnes etc) does your authority have for 2013? How much did you have in 2012

4. How many miles of road are you responsible for to date?

5. How many miles of that overall road do you grit?

2012 – 41 vehicles which are combined gritter/ploughs, 1 vehicle which is only a plough.

2012 – 88 drivers capable of driving a gritter/plough.

2013 – 40 vehicles which are combined gritter/ploughs, 1 vehicle which is only a plough and 1 vehicle which is only a gritter.

2013 – 79 drivers capable of driving a gritter/plough.

3. 18/11/12 – 10,744 tonnes in stock.  18/11/13 – 15,652 tonnes in stock.

4. 965 Miles.

5. Every road is allocated a winter priority, and all 965 miles would eventually be gritted during prolonged winter conditions.  We currently have 414 miles of road that are designated Priority 1 for winter treatment - those receive our highest level of winter service, including pre-treatment on receipt of an adverse weather forecast
