Community Empowerment (Scotland) Act 2015

The Scottish Government has now published regulations and guidance to implement asset transfer under Part 5 of the Community Empowerment (Scotland) Act 2015.  

Annual Reports

At the end of each financial year, Moray Council must publish a report on the number of asset transfer requests received and the number of which has been agreed, refused, appealed etc.

Common Good Notice of Disposal (Now Closed) 

02 September 2019 - 25 October 2019

Notice is hereby given that, in terms of Section 27 of the Town and Country Planning (Scotland) Act 1959 and Section 104 of the Community Empowerment (Scotland) Act 2015, Moray Council is considering the disposal of 1.015 hectares of Common Good land at Borough Briggs Road, Elgin

Details of the proposed disposal are available for inspection (upon request) during normal opening hours from Elgin Library, Cooper Park, Elgin IV30 1HS.

Any representations concerning the proposal should be submitted to CAT@moray.gov.uk or in writing to the Community Asset Transfer Team, Moray Council, Council Offices, High Street, Elgin IV30 1BX no later than 12 Noon on 25 October 2019. 

Representations should state the name and address of the representor, the matter to which they relate and the grounds on which they are made.
