FOI Request - Removal of Livestock
1. To ask on how many occasions during 2013 the animal health officers within your council were forced, either under their own direction or in association with other government bodies, or agencies or the Scottish SPCA, to remove livestock – ie cattle, sheep, horses, pigs, chickens, ducks, geese – from farms and or crofts within your council area.
2. To ask for the total number of incidents and, if possible, to specify the number of livestock involved by species and total for each incident.
3. To ask the cost over 2013 of the council having to provide alternative accommodation and feed for those animals, and the total amount recovered from the individuals or businesses involved from where those livestock were removed.
To provide a comparable list of the total number of incidents for 2011 and 2012, and to, if possible, provide the total cost of alternative accommodation and feed and total amount recovered.
