1)   In each of the last two financial years how many times has the council discovered food, foodstuffs or alcohol that has been adulterated? Please break the figures down for each year and give details of what was found in each incident. Please also provide details of how many people/companies were successfully prosecuted as a result of these discoveries.

2)   In each of the last two financial years how many times has the council discovered food, foodstuffs or alcohol that has been substituted with something other than the foodstuff, food or alcohol it was labelled/advertised as? Please break the figures down for each year and give details of what was found in each incident. Please also provide details of how many people/companies were successfully prosecuted as a result of these discoveries.

3)    In each of the last two financial years how many times has the council discovered food, foodstuffs or alcohol that was deliberately mislabelled or was suspected as having been deliberately mislabelled? Please break the figures down for each year and give details of what was found in each incident. Please also provide details of how many people/companies were successfully prosecuted as a result of these discoveries.

4)    How many instances of food fraud has the council dealt with in each of the last two financial. Please break the figures down for each year and give details of what was found in each incident. 1.  Quality assurance label used erroneously - rectified followed discussion with business.

2.  Falsification of best before date on dry goods supplied on a wholesale - matter referred to home authority for investigation.

4.  This authority is involved in an ongoing food fraud incident the source of which is not suspected to be within Moray, no further intelligence on this issue can be shared. This authority was involved in another allegation of illegal meat fraud during 2013-14 but no evidence was found following a raid. The authority has also had 2 successful prosecutions connected to food fraud but none in the last 2 years. During 2012-13 a joint investigation with Trading Standards was carried to establish the presence of fraudulent alcohol within Moray but none was identified.
