2. Do you have a set eligibility for a patient/client/service user to access a Tier 4 Residential Service for Drug and or Alcohol abuse within your specific area of responsibility?

Response 18-06-2014

1.  All those entering drug and alcohol services will undergo a comprehensive assessment of need completed by our assessment team. Thereafter will be discussed at the resource allocation meeting and allocated to the most appropriate service [based on assessed need]. The eligibility used will be based on the Single Shared Assessment, the ten modalities identified through HEAT A11 and on the users individual outcomes. The criteria is part of the Recovery Orientated System of Care in operation in Moray.

2.  Users would follow the process as above. The need for residential tier 4 services will be based on individual need through assessment, risk assessment and measured using the Outcome Star. If a social worker or CPN identify the need for detox or residential services based on assessed need, a multi-disciplinary meeting would be held to identify whether residential or community rehabilitation was the best way forward.
