1.Can you tell me please how many of the local authority area’s schools have a uniform and how many do not.

2.How many schools had a uniform ten years ago and how many did not then?

3.How many pupils in the last five years have been suspended for breaking uniform rules?

4.How many pupils in the last five years have been disciplined for breaking rules over uniform?

5.In each of the cases for questions three and four, please provide details of what each pupil wore (or had , such as piercings or tattoos) that broke the uniform rules.

1.  All 53 of our schools have a uniform.

2.  This information is not held and is therefore exempt under Section 17 of the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002

3.  Schools hold reports of any such incidents in each pupil's PPR (Pupil's Personal Record) but do not hold an overview and would have to go into each child's PPR to get this information which is not a feasible task therefore this information is exempt under Section 12, section 1(1), excessive cost of compliance of the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002
