Remembrance Sunday, Sunday the 9th of November 2008
On Remembrance Sunday we honour the sacrifice of those fallen in war. They deserve to hope that their sacrifice was not in vain; and that the peace they fought to gain is being preserved in their memory.

Moray’s observance of Remembrance Sunday will be held on the 12th of November this year and will again feature various services across the county. The main services are held at :-

The Lord Lieutenant or one of his representatives will lay a wreath on behalf of the Lieutenancy at each of the war memorials in the lieutenancy area.

At main centres, ceremonies will be attended by detachments from Services, Ex-Service Units and representatives of local uniformed organisations.

Road closures and parking
The A96 in Keith will be restricted ……. And traffic around other main centres may be re-directed when services are in progress.

Members of the public are warmly invited to attend remembrance services.
