Miscellaneous Online Services computer mouse Advice for using Online Forms

This page is designed to assist you with the Online Forms on our website.  We strongly suggest reading this page thoroughly before starting the online application as it contains solutions to the most common problems that occur when using online forms.

Navigation

To navigate through the Online Forms, please use the Navigation Bar at the bottom of the forms.  The 'Back' and 'Forward' buttons on your browser should not be used whilst the forms are being filled in as this can lead to all the unsaved data in the form being lost.

Popup Blockers

On completion of some forms (particularly online applications), a new browser window will open with the details you entered.  If you do not see this window, then it is possible that your browser has blocked the popup from opening.

Please follow the links below to find out how to allow popups on your browser.

Web Toolbars (such as Yahoo Toolbar, Google Toolbar etc) may also block popups.

PDF (Portable Document Format) Files

On completion of some forms (particularly Online Application Forms) a new browser window will open with the details you have entered.  If a new window opens and nothing appears then you may not have Adobe Acrobat Reader installed.  This is a free software that can be downloaded from the following link:

Server Problems

If, when you open any Online Form you get the message "There may be a problem with the server - Please contact the Administrator."

Should this happen, please close the page and wait 2-3 minutes before trying to access the form again.  If this problem persists, please contact us, using the details shown below.

If you come across any other error message, please make a note of what the error message contains and send this along with details of the time that the error occured to the email address below.

This will allow us to investigate the error message and find a possible cause for the error.
