Convent Garden - Elgin

Adjacent to Greyfriars Convent. Beautiful and careful restoration, 1891-1908, by architect John Kinross for the 3rd Marquess of Bute, of a 15th-century Franciscan friary. Magnificently carved oak screen divides the choir from the nave and a splendid barrel-vaulted ceiling stretches unbroken to the stained glass window above the altar. Fine cloister with original medieval well.

Cooper Park - Elgin

The grounds of Grant Lodge, Cooper Park was gifted to the town of Elgin by Colonel George A Cooper for use as a public park alterations to the layout of the park were made by architect Marshall Mackenzie in 1902. The opening ceremony took place in August 1903.
