FOI Request - Secondary School Subject Provision

Request 

I am writing to request the release of information under FOISA.

1. For each individual secondary school in your council area, I am seeking information about the subjects made available at Nat2,3,4,5, Higher, and Advanced Higher, as well as alternative qualifications such as Skills for Work, National Progression Awards, Awards, National Certificates, Scottish Baccalaureates, International Baccalaureates, and any other qualifications on offer, for the school year 2026/27.

2. In all instances, I also want to know whether a class/course/programme is being delivered as a single class or in a mixed class whether more than one level, or more than one subject, are being delivered at once. I also want to know if courses are available in the school, in a local school, in a college, or online, in order to build a complete picture of the education provision in your area.

3. INnorder to help facilitate this, I have prepared a spreadsheet which I would ask you to complete in order to provide all of the information I am seeking. The spreadsheet has been populated with dropdown menus to make my request as clear as possible and also to ensure that the data provided to me is consistent.

4. For Nat 2,3,4,5, Higher and Advanced Higher, I have provided the full subject list. I would ask that for each subject it is made clear if it is being offered in the individual school for the academic year 2026/27 (column C). If so, I would ask that the rest of the row is also completed.

5. In the case of 'other' qualifications, there are so many available that it wouldn't make sense to list them all. Instead, please simply enter the name of each of these qualifications being offered for the current school year and provide the rest of the requested information.
