Please provide the following recorded information under the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002 concerning the council’s expenditure on language translation and interpreting.

1. SCOPE AND PERIOD
Please cover:
a) 1 April 2024–31 March 2025;
b) 1 April 2025–31 March 2026; and
c) 1 April 2026–30 September 2026.

2. ITEMISED EXPENDITURE

Include payments of every value, expressly including £500 and below, with no minimum payment threshold.

For each entry, please provide these fields where held in existing finance records, supplier billing schedules or routine management-information reports:

a. Payment or transaction date, and invoice date if separately recorded;
b. Supplier/payee name;
c. Amount, with net value and VAT separately identified where held;
d. Transaction, invoice or purchase-order reference sufficient to distinguish entries, excluding bank details and personal case identifiers;
e. Commissioning department, service area or cost centre;
f. Recorded description of the service or expenditure;
g. Service type: written translation, face-to-face interpreting, telephone interpreting, video interpreting or another recorded category;
h. Language or languages concerned;
i. Recorded quantity, such as words, pages, documents, bookings, minutes or hours;
j. Separately recorded additional charges, including urgency, certification, specialist terminology, travel, minimum booking charges or cancellations; and
k. Associated contract or framework reference.

3. EXISTING TOTALS AND REPORTS

Please provide any existing expenditure totals or reports for each period showing:

Total expenditure within the principal scope;
b) Separate totals for written translation and spoken interpreting; and
c) Expenditure by language, where already held.
