Where figures are available by month, please provide monthly figures from 1 January 2022 to the most recent date available. Where monthly figures are not held, please provide the information using the smallest time period in which it is recorded, for example, calendar or financial year.

For each period, please provide:
1. The number of reports or complaints received by the council concerning:
a) dogs being dangerously or otherwise out of control;
b) dogs attacking or injuring people;
c) dogs attacking or injuring other animals.

2. Where breed or type is recorded, the number of the above incidents recorded as involving:
a) an XL Bully;
b) another dog covered by section 1 of the Dangerous Dogs Act 1991;
c) any other breed or type.
I appreciate that breed/type may not routinely be recorded. If not, please confirm this rather than manually reviewing individual case files.

1. The number of Dog Control Notices:
a) issued;
b) in force;
c) breached;
d) discharged;
e) referred to Police Scotland or another body following an alleged breach.

2. Where held, the number of XL Bully dogs which have come to the council's attention since 23 February 2024 as a result of:
a) complaints or reports;
b) being stray or abandoned;
c) suspected non-compliance with the XL Bully restrictions;
d) referral from or to Police Scotland.

3. Any additional funding received by the council specifically in connection with the introduction or enforcement of the XL Bully restrictions, including the amount, source and purpose of that funding.

4. Any recorded expenditure directly attributable to implementing or enforcing the XL Bully restrictions, including, where separately recorded:
a) staff costs or additional staff time;
b) training;
c) kennelling;
d) veterinary costs;
e) legal costs;
f) communications or public information.
If these costs are not separately recorded, please state that rather than calculating a new estimate.

1. The number of staff/FTE authorised to undertake dog-control functions under the Control of Dogs (Scotland) Act 2010 for each year from 2022 onwards, where this information is readily available.

2. Copies of any reports, assessments, reviews or other recorded evaluations produced by the council since 1 January 2024 concerning:
a) implementation of the XL Bully restrictions;
b) their effectiveness;
c) their impact on council resources;
d) any operational or enforcement difficulties;
e) identification of XL Bully-type dogs.

3. Copies of any current guidance, instructions or protocols supplied to relevant council staff specifically concerning XL Bully dogs.

4. Copies of any recorded assessment held by the council comparing dog-control incidents, dog attacks or public-safety outcomes before and after introduction of the XL Bully restrictions.
