Booking Information for Caged Football Pitch and Pavilion
Moray Council have a licence agreement with Lossiemouth United Football Club for the caged football pitch and pavilion at Coulardbank Playing Fields in Lossiemouth. The reason for this licence agreement is that to enable Lossiemouth United Football Club to play in the Scottish Junior Football Association North Region League they must meet various ground/facility playing criteria.
The licence agreement in place includes the following;
- Lossiemouth United have priority usage of the caged football pitch and pavilion to fulfil their home fixtures throughout the league and cup season. Lossiemouth United submit their home fixtures at the start of the season and these are submitted into the booking diary.
- Re-arranged home fixture matches for Lossiemouth United (due to cancellations due to weather/unplayable conditions etc) will also be given priority with the club providing as early notification to the leisure facility as possible for the booking diary to be updated.
- On these occasions, if another hire has a booking in place for the caged pitch/pavilion, they will be relocated to another pitch and/or will use the leisure facility changing rooms as an alternative to the pavilion - at no extra cost.
- During the playing season of the Scottish Junior Football Association (generally August to May) only Scottish Youth and Junior Football Association competition fixtures will be permitted on the caged pitch. This is to maintain the playing condition of the caged pitch and avoid over usage. Lossiemouth United undertake the majority of maintenance within the caged pitch (grass cutting, lining, ground repair, dugouts and spectator barriers). Moray Council undertake minimal maintenance of this facility.
- Outwith the playing season of the Scottish Junior Football Association league/cup competitions (generally between May-Aug) the caged pitch can be booked by any user group.
All other pitches at this location (2 football pitches at top area of Coulardbank Playing Fields) and the astroturf pitch are available for booking all year round by user groups.
