Funding Overview and Local Priorities
UKSPF Allocation for Moray
For the 2025/2026 programme year, Moray has been allocated a total of £1,415,076 through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund:
Revenue funding: £1,013,837
Capital funding: £401,239
As part of the UK Government's transitional arrangements for 2025/26, the delivery period for UKSPF-funded activity has been extended to 30 September 2026, providing additional time to complete approved projects and achieve agreed outputs and outcomes.
This funding supports delivery of a locally tailored programme of activity, focused on improving economic opportunity, community wellbeing, and place-based investment.
Investment Priorities
UKSPF funding is structured around three national Investment Priorities, which guide how projects are selected and delivered:
Communities and Place – improving pride in place and increasing life chances through investment in public spaces, local infrastructure, and community facilities.
Supporting Local Business – helping businesses to innovate, grow, adopt new technologies and improve productivity.
People and Skills – supporting individuals to develop skills, improve employability and access opportunities in the labour market.
All UKSPF activity in Moray aligns with one or more of these themes.

These missions are central to how projects have been designed and funded locally.
Moray’s Local Strategic Priorities
To ensure the UKSPF investment responds to the needs of Moray’s communities and economy, the following local priorities have been identified:
- Enhancing local infrastructure and public spaces – creating vibrant, inclusive places that encourage pride and participation.
- Strengthening the voluntary and third sector – supporting organisations to build capacity and resilience.
- Supporting local businesses – through tailored programmes that develop talent, promote innovation, and build long-term business resilience.
- Improving employability and skills – helping individuals gain the training and support needed to access and sustain work.
These priorities have been informed by local evidence, stakeholder engagement and regional strategic planning activity.
