Making the Museum Visit

Things to remember please...

We want you to enjoy your visit, so we ask you to please note the following points while you are in the museum:

  • Every museum is a public place,` and therefore it is likely that members of the general public will also be in the building at the same time as you are visiting. We have limited toilet facilities at most museums, although we are happy to make these available during class visits.
  • Please bring with you all materials that you may require such as paper, pencils and any classroom preparation work that you need to refer to.
  • Supervision of the pupils is the responsibility of the teachers and classroom assistants who accompany them.
  • We ask that all portable phones remain switched off, in order not to disturb other visitors.

Eating and Drinking in the Museum

We normally discourage museum visitors from bringing food or drinks into the museum. However if your school visit includes the children's normal break time, please discuss this with us first so that we can make every effort to accommodate their needs.
