FOI Request - Display Energy Certificates

Request 101003356082

A full list of all those buildings within your local authority area that meet the criteria specified in the Energy Performance of Buildings Directive Regulations as requiring them to have a DEC. In summary, under the 2007 regulations a DEC and advisory report are required for buildings with a total useful floor area over 1,000m2 that are occupied in whole or part by public authorities and by institutions providing public services to a large number of persons and therefore frequently visited by those persons. In 2013 the 2007 Regulations were revised and extended the requirement for a DEC in large public buildings, to public buildings above 500m². Unlike buildings larger than 1,000m², DECs for smaller public buildings are valid for 10
years.

For each building identified as being affected by these Regulations, please provide the full address, and where one exists, the Report Reference Number, date of issue and rating for the most recent DEC issued. Please also provide the Report Reference Number and date of issue of the Advisory Report for the building.

The regulations referred to in the FOI below apply to England and Wales only. In Scotland an EPC is required to be displayed if frequently visited by the public, over 250 square meters and occupied by a public authority.  https://www.mygov.scot/epc-for-business
