FOI Request - Care Act Implementation Funding

I request the following recorded information under the terms of the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002

The Scottish Government has allocated £88.4M per annumfor the financial years 2022 to 2023 and 2023 to 2024 for delivering the intended expansion in local carer support services.

As set out in the letter from the Cabinet Secretary for Health and Sport in February 2022

‘The Carers Act funding uplift comes on top of successive, baselined increases in every year since the Act came into force in April 2018. The cumulative total is £68 million for 2021-22. The Act aimed to deliver a significant expansion in local carer support so that funding for carers services and support in 2022-23 will be £88.4 million more than it was in 2017-18.’
This resource was designed to implement the duties within the Carers (Scotland) Act 2016, including the duty to providesupport to carers to meet their eligible needs.

Please indicate the following:

1. Exact sum (expressed as a monetary amount) which was allocated to the Health and Social Care Partnership for the purpose of implementing the duties in the Carers(Scotland) Act 2016 in the financial years 2022 / 2023and 2023 /2024
2. A full breakdown of what the money allocated to implementing the duties in the Carers (Scotland) Act 2016 has been used for in each year.
