EIR Request - Coachford Site

Request 101003488307

I am currently undertaking a Geo-environmental Desk Study Assessment for the Coachford site of the Ofgem Accelerated Strategic Transmission Investment (ASTI) scheme, being undertaken by SSEN. The site is located between NE grid reference: NJ 45737 47044 and SW grid reference: NJ 44913 46091, within the red site boundary as shown in Figure 1.

While the site lies within the Aberdeenshire Council borders, the north and western boundaries of the site lie along the Moray Council border.

To obtain as much information as possible regarding potential contamination at this site, I would be very grateful if you could provide any information that you may hold, including:
1. Details of any former uses of the site or the immediate surrounding land, which may have resulted in contamination of the site. I am particularly interested in any former industrial/ commercial uses and any landfilling and former foundation bases within the site.
2. Any areas of archaeological interest including structures, tunnels and locations of historical significance within the site.
3. The location of any defined special sites (under part IIA of the EPA 1990 (Scotland) within 1km of the site.
4. Details of any fly tipping pollution within the site from the last 24 months.
5. Any information regarding underground or above ground fuel storage tanks within the site perimeter, including their specific location.
6. Any reported land or water based pollution incidents within the vicinity of the site from the last 24 months.
7. Private water abstraction within the vicinity of the site.
