1.  Under the terms of the Freedom of Information Act 2000,can I ask how many pot holes were identified as in need of repair on Moray Council authority roads in the years 2021,2022 and 2023?

2.  How many of these potholes were subsequently visited for repeat repairs and what is the average repeat number of visits to the same pot hole?

3.  What is the total cost of pot hole repairs for the years 2021,2022 and 2023?

Response 11-04-2024

1. The council issued the following instructions that related to carriageway defects within the financial years.  These could include potholes.  Each instruction could be for 1 or multiple defect that were repaired.
2021/22 = 5,841
2022/23 = 5,019
2023/24 = 7,213

2. Not held. Information that is not held falls under Section 17 of the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002 - Information not held.

3. Total cost of repairs for the financial years:
2021/22 = £792,832.39
2022/23 = £774,644.08
2023/24 = £1,052,220.72     Note: amount shown is cost incurred to date.
