FOI Request- Ceased Teaching or Became Unregistered

I am interested in the following data for the last five academic years:

1.  The number of probationary or new teachers in your local authority who ceased teaching or became unregistered within (a) 6 months, and (b) 12 months of commencing their teaching role.

2.  A breakdown of this data by academic year and any relevant demographic information that may be available, such as age, gender, or teaching subject.

Response 04-11-2024 

1. & 2. Not held. We are not made aware of their registration status if they leave their Newly Qualified Teacher (NQT) Teacher Induction Scheme (TIS) Year. Information that is not held falls under Section 17 of the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002 - Information not held. We would recommend contacting the General Teaching Council for Scotland (GTCS) for this information.
