Please answer the following relating to Logie Primary School, including the external and internal investigations that have taken place over the last 5 years from today’s date 09/03/2025.

1. What was the total cost of the external investigation carried out by McKinley HR?

2. What date did McKinley HR conclude his investigation process and offer recommendations to Moray Council?

3. How many formal complaints regarding Logie primary school and or the leadership has Moray Council received?

4. How many informal complaints against Logie Primary School and or the leadership has Moray Council received in terms of telephone call, emails and those highlighted verbally at Edinkillie hall meeting on June 11th 2024?

5. How many members of staff from Logie Primary School participated in the external investigation and gave statement/ evidence?

6. How many families are on record to have attended the Logie primary school hall meeting on June 11th 2024 to raise concerns/ complaints about the situation around Logie Primary School?

7. Were the general teaching council informed of the internal and external investigations at Logie primary school?

8. Due to the safe guarding concerns raised, were social work and police Scotland public protection unit informed?

9. How many pupils have left Logie Primary School over the last 5 years without including those in primary 7 leaving at the end of their school year?

10. What support and involvement from moray council will be put in place following the outcome of these investigations in order to safe guarding concerns raised current and future pupils?

Response 04-04-2025

1. This is considered commercially sensitive information and is therefore exempt under Section 33(1)(b) of the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002- Commercial Sensitivity where disclosure would be likely to prejudice substantially the commercial interests of any person.

3. There were 6 complaints via the complaints procedures.   

4. No records are held on informal issues raised. Information that is not held falls under Section 17 of the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002 - Information not held.

5. This information is exempt from release under Section 30(c) of the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002 - Prejudice to effective conduct of public affairs. The public interest in withholding the information outweighs the public interest in disclosing it. 

6. Not held. Information that is not held falls under Section 17 of the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002 - Information not held.

7. In accordance with section 18 of the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002 we neither confirm nor deny that this information is held. If it is held it would be likely to be exempt under Section 38(1)(b) of the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002 - Personal Information.

8. There were no safeguarding issues found arising from the investigation. Appropriate advice was sought.

10. Advice and support is provided to the school via the Quality Improvement Officer linked to the school. There were no safeguarding issues arising from the investigation. Any future concerns should be raised via the Council Complaints procedures.
