FOI Request - IJB Board Information

Request 101003758322

1.  Does your IJB have an executive board or committee where health research strategy is set?  e.g. a Research and Innovation Board or other relevant high-level board.

2.  If yes, is there a PPIE (patient public involvement engagement) representative on this board with the specific remit to provide insights into research agenda setting from the perspective of a patient with lived experience of health issues or as a member of the public/community? [I am not referring to the presence of a lay chair].

3.  Is there a PPIE advisory structure (e.g. board, committee, panel) which provides PPIE insights to inform the work of the executive board? (not within individual study groups- I refer to high level feedback into your research strategy meetings).

4.  Is there a PPIE representative on  medical specialty specific boards e.g women's health?

5.  If yes to question 2, 3 or 4, please provide the most recent minutes/agenda with a list of members with designated roles/remits (not names).

6. Are PPIE representatives remunerated?

7.  Do you require PPIE representatives to do any training? If yes, please specify e.g. NIHR training or in house-training.

I realise that some of this information may already be available. However, I was unable to locate it. So, if it is, please provide me with a link to the data.

1. The Moray IJB is responsible for the governance, planning and resourcing of services delegated by Moray Council and NHS Grampian. The Board has in place the following Committees:  Audit, Performance and Risk Committee and Clinical and Care Governance Committee.  The Moray IJB Standing Orders (for the regulation of meetings) details the role and remit for each. This can be found on the Health and Social Care Moray website and is therefore exempt under section 25 of the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002, information otherwise accessible. For ease of reference please find a link to the web page here: https://hscmoray.co.uk/key-board-documents.html

Please find the information under Key Board Documents on this page.

2. 3. And 4. Please find link to Membership of the Moray IJB on the Health and Social Care Moray website; information is exempt under section 25 of the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002, information otherwise accessible: https://hscmoray.co.uk/members-of-the-mijb.html

There are eight voting members on the Moray IJB who are supported by a number of non-voting professional, clinical and stakeholder advisers. This includes an Unpaid Carer Member, Service User Member and Third Sector Member.

5. Link agendas and minutes that are published on the Health and Social Care Moray website; information is exempt under section 25 of the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002, information otherwise accessible: https://moray.cmis.uk.com/moray/CouncilandGovernance/Committees.aspx

6. The Moray IJB has a Members Expenses policy that applies to members who are not already covered by their respective organisation's expenses policies i.e. Unpaid Carer Members, Service User Member and Third Sector Member.

7. All members are provided with in-house training.

8. Various links provided above - key board documents page provides links to Integration Scheme and Strategic Plan.  The Public Bodies (Joint Working) (Scotland) Act 2014 (the Act) requires Health Boards and Local Authorities to integrate planning for, and delivery of, certain health and social care services.  The Act requires them to prepare jointly an integration scheme setting out how this joint working is to be achieved.  The Strategic Plan for health and social care in Moray reaffirms the strategic visions and priorities, and sets out how integrated resources will be used to deliver on the strategy over the next 10 years.
