1. First aid.

Provided on an ongoing basis, arranged via a formal tendering process. Contract awarded April 2025 and runs until April 2028. Training provided by Green Cross Global. Senior Health & Safety Advisor is responsible for overseeing the contract. We expect to deliver around 20 courses per year (mix of one day, two day requal and three day FAW courses. Expected cost circa £12k per annum.

2. Fire Marshal training is delivered on an ad hoc basis, most via self directed learning on our learning management system and some done by the internal H&S team. Senior Health & Safety Advisor would oversee the provision.
No external trainers used.

3. Mental Health First Aid  Response: This was previously provided via funding from the Flexible Working Development Fund over a period of 3 years; however, the funding ceased last year.

4. All manual handling training is provided internally via service-based trainers. Training is delivered on an ad hoc basis, as and when required. Individual services would be responsible for arranging this training but Senior Health & Safety Advisor would have overall oversight.
Evac Chair and evac mat training is provided by the Corporate H&S team and delivered on an ad hoc basis.
No external trainers used. We carry out roughly ten training sessions a year.
Senior Health & Safety Advisor would have overall control of this training provision.
