Scope and timeframe
Please provide the following for academic years 2015/16 to 2024/25 (year-to-date) for the school workforce (teaching and non-teaching):
1. Leavers and exit interviews (annual):
a) Leavers (headcount).
b) Exit interviews: number offered and number completed.
2. Coded themes (annual):
a) Anonymised coded themes from exit interviews with counts by theme (e.g., pay, workload, management, progression, location, personal, retirement, other).
b) The coding framework/list currently used.
3. Management information:
a) Any management/committee reports since 1 August 2023 summarising exit interview findings or turnover themes.

We can only provide the information from 2017/2018, earlier years are not held and therefore Section 17 of FOISA - information not held - is applicable.
b) Leavers are given an exit questionnaire; the responses given may means an exit interview is then offered. The numbers are not centrally collated and as such checking all leavers’ files would take in excess of 40hrs of work, making it exempt under Section 12 of FOISA.
