1. The job titles of the authorised officers covering the local authority area who are responsible for issuing and enforcing Dog Control Notices (DCNs).
a. Please specify the number of authorised officers alongside the job title.
b. Are these Officers authorised to report breaches of the DCN through COPFS
c. Are these Officers dedicated Dog Wardens/Dog Control Officer or do they cover other duties such as Community Warden/Trading Standards/Environmental Health.
2. The number of active Dog Control Notices in the local authority area.
a. If possible, please break down DCNs by breed or type of dog.
3. The number of DCNs that have been discharged, where the authorised officer is satisfied that the terms of the DCN have been complied with, broken down by year since 2022.
4. The number of proactive follow up visits undertaken by authorised officers to ensure the DCN conditions are being complied with and the number of reactive visits to complaints of breaches of the DCN.
a. Please indicate as to how often proactive visits are undertaken and if these are announced visits or unannounced or covert visits.
5. The number of fines that have been issued or Court dates that have been allocated due to a breach of a DCN by year, since 2022.
