In relation to Additional Support Needs (ASN) training provided to staff at Speyside High School, specifically in relation to autism and ADHD.
Please provide the following information, relating to current active teaching staff at Speyside High School:
1. Training coverage
(a) The total number of active teaching staff currently employed at Speyside High School.
(b) Of these, how many have received training specifically relating to:
Autism
ADHD
(c) For each of the above, please provide this as numbers and, if possible, percentages.
2. Dates and renewal of training
(a) For each current member of teaching staff who has received autism and/or ADHD-related training, please provide:
(b) The date the most recent training was completed.
(c) Whether the training has an expiry or renewal date, and if so, when it is due to be renewed.
(d) Has every current teacher in the school received up-to-date training in autism and ADHD?
(e) If not, please specify:
Which departments/faculties are awaiting this training.
How many staff in each of these departments are still to receive this training.
When this training is planned to take place.
3. Interim measures
(a) For departments/teachers who have not yet received training, what is currently in place to support:

(c) Autistic and/or ADHD pupils in accessing effective education in the classroom in the meantime.
4. Frequency and provider of training
(a) How often is autism- and ADHD-related training carried out for teaching staff at Speyside High School (e.g. annually, every X years, ad hoc, etc.)?
(b) Who delivers this training? (e.g. local authority specialists, external organisations, in-house staff, NHS professionals, etc.)
(c) Is the training mandatory for all teaching staff, or only certain roles/departments?
5. Standard, content, and updates
(a) What standards or frameworks does the autism and ADHD training follow? (e.g. local authority standards, Scottish Government guidance, NHS guidance, third-sector organisation standards, etc.)
(b) Does the training cover:
Classroom strategies and reasonable adjustments.
Understanding masking, sensory needs, and executive functioning difficulties.
Legal duties in relation to ASN and equality for autistic and ADHD pupils.
(A brief outline or copy of any training overview/contents document would be helpful.)
(c) Are staff provided with regular updates, refresher sessions, or new guidance on autism and ADHD (for example when guidance or best practice changes)? If so, how often and in what format?
6. National requirements and compliance
(a) Is there a national or local authority requirement regarding autism and ADHD training for teaching staff in Moray (for example, a policy, minimum standard, or mandatory programme)?
(b) If so, please provide:
