Please may I request that you use the yellow tab on the attached spreadsheet (sent in separate email) to provide persistent school absence statistics for your local authority, broken down by year group and sex.

For the academic session 2024/25, I am seeking information on:

• Total number of learners in your local authority with total attendance of 0-5%
• Total number of learners in your local authority with total attendance of 0-10%
• Total number of learners in your local authority with total attendance of 0-20%
• Total number of learners in your local authority with total attendance of 0-30%
• Total number of learners in your local authority with total attendance of 0-40%
• Total number of learners in your local authority with total attendance of 0-50%

The above data can be extracted from Business Intelligence within SEEMIS. Should the attendance data for individual year groups be too small to disclose, please use the red tab of the spreadsheet to break the data down by Primary, S1-3 and S4-6 instead.
