1.  Is there a process in place to circulate news stories pertaining to Moray

2.  What is the circulation group, ie Executive, Senior Leaders, Councillors etc

3.  How often is this circulated

4.  How is the search for news undertaken, I am assuming such tools as Google News or AI

5.  What search words and phrases are used

6.  Was this process in place in April 2025 and onwards

1. Moray Council news is released through the Corporate Communications newsdesk database and added to the Moray Council website and social media channels.
External news stories (i.e. non-Moray Council generated news) relating to Moray are not shared on this newsdesk, externally or internally.

2. Moray Council generated news releases are distributed to Media outlets, elected members and senior leadership - staff and members of the public receive it via the newsdesk, intranet, website and social media.

3. When appropriate to the news item.

4. Externally generated news is not proactively circulated so is not searched for.
