Council Tax - Payment Arrangement Proposal

If you receive a bill or recovery document from us which you would prefer to pay over an extended period, we are happy to consider any proposal that you would like to make to do so.

You will find a link to a Payment Arrangement proposal form on this page.  This form will gather the following information:

    a) your Council Tax account number;
    b) the document that you have received;
    c) how you have to pay;
    d) the amount of our proposed payment arrangement;
    e) your bank account details;
    f) your employment details;
    g) confirmation that you set up a Direct Debit to pay the arrangement.

You should not submit a Payment Arrangement proposal to us if your have received a letter from our Sheriff’s Officers, Scott + Co.  Any arrangement proposal for a debt passed to them, should be submitted directly to them.

Once we receive your proposal we will review it.  We will then confirm or acceptance of your proposal or contact you if we want negotiate with you agree a mutually acceptable arrangement.

Moray Council is the data controller for this process.  The information provided by you for the purposes of determining Council Tax liability will be stored by us in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Data Protection Act (DPA) 2018.  The information that we hold must be accurate, up to date, and kept only for as long as necessary. It is shared only where we are legally obliged to do so.
