I am interested to know how the local authority records pupil absences.
Please reveal the following information:

1. All codes, categories or terms used by local authority to record the reasons for a pupil absence.

2. The number of high school pupil absences in the last six academic years (2020/21, 2021/22, 2022/23, 2023/24, 2024/25 and 2025/26 so far) broken down by reason or category.

In other words, please provide the total number of absences for each academic year but also provide a breakdown of that total by reasons for those absences.

3. The number of primary school pupil absences in the last six academic years (2020/21, 2021/22, 2022/23, 2023/24, 2024/25 and 2025/26 so far) broken down by reason or category.
