1. What are the transition procedures/arrangements for a child with ASN moving to a different school within your authority outwith transitions from nursery to P1 and primary 7 to secondary 1?

1. All transition are tailored to the needs of the individual child where there is ASN.  Keeping with legislation, transitions are planned for in advance at all stages.  The receiving school is invited to all meetings at least a year in advance, 2 years for more significant need.  

2. With another local authority, we have similar transition plans where the receiving school and the setting they are leaving meet together to put in place the best package around the child to make the move as smooth as possible.
