The number of pupils who were involved in a recorded violent or aggressive incident within four weeks of returning to school following a fixed-term or temporary exclusion, for each academic year since 2019-20.

We would have to read though thousands of incident report forms and exclusion cases to get this information. With 1,361 exclusions and 13,549 V&A incidents since 2019/20, even at an estimate of 2 minutes per exclusion to search for any related V&A incidents, this task would cost the Council more than 40 hours and therefore in excess of £600 of staff time. In accordance with section 12 of the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002 (excessive cost), we are therefore unable to comply with this request.
