FOI Request - Electrical Installation Condition Reports

 Please provide information on how many homes in your jurisdiction are classified as:
Private Rented Sector (PRS) properties.

1. The number of Electrical Information Condition Reports (EICRs) carried out in privately rented homes that have been submitted to you over the last four years.

2. The number of Classification Code C1 and Classification Code C2 observations recorded within any EICR, in the last four years, per year.

3. The number of remedial works carried out on these properties as a result of the EICR outcome.

The Landlord Registration Officer requests an EICR for every property approved. 

4908 EICR's have been requested since 2022.  

To find the information requested, at an average of 5 minutes per document, to review it would take in excess of 400 hours to obtain information to answer questions 2 & 3. This would cost the Council in excess of £600 of staff time. In accordance with section 12 of the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002 (excessive cost), we are therefore unable to comply with this part of the request.
