FOI Request - Premises Selling Vape Products

1. For each calendar year 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023, and 2024:

a. The total number of inspections carried out of premises selling vape products.

b. The number of those inspections where officers specifically checked documentation relating to the Tobacco and Nicotine Vapour Product Retailers Register (i.e., whether the business was registered to sell vapes).

c. The enforcement outcomes arising from those visits (e.g., warnings issued, fixed penalties, prosecutions, remedial notices).

2. If possible, please also provide figures for:

a. The number of unregistered vape retailers identified during these inspections for each year.

b. Any notices, fines, or prosecutions issued specifically for breaches of vape registration rules over the period requested.
