FOI Request - Technical Support Staff in Secondary Schools

I am writing to you in pursuance of a resolution passed at the 2025 EIS AGM,

The resolution requested that the EIS ascertain local authority current and historic
staffing levels in relation to such staff (that is, those who provide technical support to
teachers in subjects and curricular areas such as, but not limited to Science, Technical, 
ICT and Home Economics,) and the relationship to teacher workload.

To that end, I am writing to request information you hold on the following:

1. Current data on FTE of technical support staff serving schools

2. Available historic data on FTE of technical support staff serving schools (from
2015 onwards, if available.)

3. Any relevant information on roles, remits and deployment of such staff in your
education authority.
