I would like to request information about subject, course, and qualification options for senior phase in secondary schools in your area.

While I understand that things can change after the summer (not least because of exam results), I would like to get a picture of what has been offered for senior phase pupils in each school at this point. Given that exams are ongoing and new timetables are due to start soon, I expect that all secondary schools will be able to provide this information as, in almost all cases, at least provisional choices will have been made for the coming academic year.

I would therefore ask you to confirm the following for each secondary school in your area, based on the most up-to-date plans for the 2026/2027 academic year:

1. Which subjects are being offered at National 4 level?

2. Which subjects are being offered at National 5 level?

3. Which subjects are being offered at Higher level?

4. Which subjects are being offered at Advanced Higher level?

5. Which subjects, if any, are being offered at National 1, National 2, or National 3 level

6. Which National Progression Awards are being offered (please specify the SCQF level for each)

7. Which National Certificate (NC) courses are being offered (please specify the SCQF level for each)

8. Which Skills for Work (SfW) courses are being offered (please specify the SCQF level for each)

9. Which SQA Awards courses are being offered (please specify the SCQF level for each)

10. Are any other courses being offered? If so, please specify the name, awarding body, and SCQF.
