Under the Freedom of Information Act 2000, I'd like to request the following information for the period 1st January 2023 to 31st December 2025.
For Part A, please provide the following information for the period 1st January 2023 to 31st December 2025:
1. How many individual schools within your authority area have experienced one or more incidents resulting from:
a) Heating system failures
b) Water leaks or burst pipes
c) Drainage or wastewater system failures
For each category above, please provide the total number of incidents recorded.
2. How many incidents resulted in:
a) Full school closure
b) Partial school closure
3. What was the total expenditure on emergency repairs relating to:
a) Heating systems
b) Water leaks, plumbing systems and pipework
c) Drainage and waste water systems
4. If recorded, how many teaching days were lost as a result of incidents relating to:
a) Heating system failures
b) Water leaks or burst pipes
c) Drainage or wastewater failures

6. How many school buildings currently maintained by the authority have outstanding roof maintenance issues identified through condition surveys or inspections, where records are held, and the names of these schools?

6. To provide this information we would have to go through all surveys which would take more than 40 hours. This task would cost the Council in excess of £600 of staff time. In accordance with section 12 of the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002 (excessive cost), we are therefore unable to comply with this part of the request.
