"The Committee agreed:

(i) to pass the petition to the Corporate Director (Economic Development, Planning and Infrastructure) and the Chair to look into;

(ii) that local members be kept up to date of progress;

(iii) that a report be submitted to this Committee at the end of this financial year detailing progress made in relation to the replacement of windows in Brodie Avenue;

(iv) with the Tenant’s agreement, that the Tenant’s back bedroom window be replaced at the earliest convenience; and

(v) that in future the options available for consideration at the preliminary hearing are outlined within the petition briefing note for ease of reference.

PE2015_003 22/072015 Petition requesting that the council find a permanent solution to  problem of seagulls nesting on the roof at Speyside High School. Invalid Rejected – Invalid, The petition relates to a matter that the Council has no statutory duty to take action on.
PE2015_004 21/12/2015 Petition requesting that the Moray Council enact a bylaw stating that no individual shall: (a) carry or discharge any firearm or other instrument designed to propel a missile; (b) shoot or attempt to shoot any goose or duck; or ( c) take, molest, wilfully disturb, injure or kill or make any attempt to injure or kill any goose or duck, or spread or use any net or set or use any  lamp, snare or other engine, instrument or means for the taking, injuring or killing of any goose or duck, within the Findhorn Bay Local Nature Reserve. Valid

Petition heard at the Economic Development and Infrastructure Committee on 8 March 2016. The Committee agreed to pass the petition to the Corporate Director (Economic Development, Planning & Infrastructure), the Chair and Local Members, with an invitation to the Minister for Rural Affairs to assist, to facilitate discussions between all interested parties to reach a compromise, including consideration of an option to extend the voluntary no shooting zone southwards, that would allow this petition and the on-line petition to be withdrawn and to report back to this Committee on the outcome of discussions.

20 Sep 16 - the Committee agreed to defer the report to a future meeting of this Committee to allow the Local Nature Reserve Committee and other interested parties, to come to an agreed solution and subsequent request for a by-law in relation to wildfowling in Findhorn Bay.

6 Jun 18 - The Council agreed to further mediation being undertaken by an external mediator as outlined in paragraph 8 of the report presented to the meeting (agenda item 6).

PE2017_001 10/1/2017 Erection of a Safety Barrier on the B9041 Dufftown to Keith Road Valid Council agreed to reject the petition “Erection of a Safety Barrier on the B9014 Dufftown to Keith Road” on the grounds that Officers’ professional view, based on national standards, is that a safety barrier is not necessary on this road and that suitable works to mitigate risk have already been carried out.
PE2017_002 30/01/2017 FINDOCHTY boat owners are requesting Moray Council to rethink on their proposed charges for berths at the Council owned recreational harbours.
