Petition heard at the Economic Development and Infrastructure Committee on 8 March 2016. The Committee agreed to pass the petition to the Corporate Director (Economic Development, Planning & Infrastructure), the Chair and Local Members, with an invitation to the Minister for Rural Affairs to assist, to facilitate discussions between all interested parties to reach a compromise, including consideration of an option to extend the voluntary no shooting zone southwards, that would allow this petition and the on-line petition to be withdrawn and to report back to this Committee on the outcome of discussions.

20 Sep 16 - the Committee agreed to defer the report to a future meeting of this Committee to allow the Local Nature Reserve Committee and other interested parties, to come to an agreed solution and subsequent request for a by-law in relation to wildfowling in Findhorn Bay.

6 Jun 18 - The Council agreed to further mediation being undertaken by an external mediator as outlined in paragraph 8 of the report presented to the meeting (agenda item 6).
