1) Please can you provide a list of the premises your Council uses to accommodate homeless applicants, along with the type (BnB, hostel, hotel, guest house etc.), the owner or operating company of each premises, and the number of homeless applicants assigned to each one over the period of November 1st 2016 – March 31st 2017?
2) Please could you also list the amount of money given to each property, company owner and/or company operator in the same period?
3) Please could you also provide a current list of properties that your local authority uses to house homeless applicants, along with the type (BnB, hostel, hotel, guest house etc.), the owner or operating company of each premises, and the number of homeless applicants assigned to each one over the previous 5 years?
4) Please could you provide a list of the total amount of money given to each property, company owner and/or company operator used to provide homelessness accommodation over the previous 5 years?
Response 13-11-2017
1) 325 households in our temporary accommodation 01/11/16 – 31/03/17.
The following tables show the type of temporary accommodation as reported to the Scottish Social Housing Charter (ARC) .
Both tables show total placements per accommodation.
We are unable to provide the full list of temporary accommodation used due to the sensitive nature of the property details. I have provided details by Housing Market Area.
Hostel RSL-Covesea Road, Elgin: We use 10 units of shared accommodation for young people of all genders aged 16-24. The service and support is provided by SACRO
Hostel RSL-Guildry House, Elgin: We use 10 units of shared accommodation. There is no age or gender restriction. The service and support is provided by SACRO for those with addictions.
Women’s Refuge-Moray Women’s Aid: We use 10 units of temporary accommodation for single women or women with children who have been subject to or at risk of domestic abuse.
Hostel –other: We use 25 rooms at Royal, Forres
The LA/RSL: Dispersed accommodation that can change by type and location to suit the needs of the service.
