In light of setting Local Housing Strategy (LHS) targets to support the delivery of more affordable Wheelchair Accessible housing:

a. What targets have the Council set for building and/or delivering wheelchair accessible homes? These targets can include, number of houses to be built, number of wheelchair users in the Council area whom the Council want to place in a home and/or otherwise.
b. What targets have the Council set for building and/or delivering accessible homes for non-wheelchair using disabled people? This is in regards to homes that are not specialist for wheelchairs but are created and earmarked for disabled people who will have specialist needs and adaptations in their homes.

The Council's approach to specialist housing, which includes wheelchair accessible housing and ambulant disabled housing is published on our website in the form of our Local Housing Strategy 2019-24 and associated appendices, and our Strategic Housing Investment Plan.
