Moray Council Disabled Persons' Parking Places Order 2025

Moray Council has made the above Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended.

The effect of the Order which will come into operation on 27th March 2026 will be to make existing advisory disabled parking places on various streets in Moray legally enforceable. This will enable Moray Council to fulfil its statutory obligations, under the Disabled Persons’ Parking Places (Scotland) Act 2009, to assess all existing advisory on-street disabled parking spaces to determine whether they are required and to promote a Traffic Regulation Order to cover each such parking place. The Order is as specified in the Northern Scot on 21/11/2025, the Banffshire Herald and the Banffshire Advertiser on 18/11/2025 and the Forres Gazette on 19/11/2025.

Any person who wishes to question the validity of the Order on the grounds that it is not within the powers of the Act or that any of the relevant requirements arising from the Act are not being complied with in relation to the Order may, within 6 weeks of 13th February 2026 apply to the Court of Session for this purpose.
