The programme consists of a number of different components;
Foundation Skills - The technical skills needed to use the Internet e.g. open the browser, send and receive e-mails
Information Searching - Getting reliable information from the Internet e.g. using a search engine, awareness of the safety of personal data, use
information such as news, government etc.
e-Participation- Interaction and involvement with the web, e.g. online forms, e-commerce, banking, shopping, use e-learning materials.
Throughout there is an understanding developed of personal safety

Learn to Touch Type with E-Type
E-Type is a new qualification on offer in Elgin Library Learning Centre. This course is for anyone who is new to touch typing
or just wants more practice to develop their speed and accuracy skills.
