Be prepared for winter by taking these steps:
Before Winter:
- Heat, insulate and protect your home

- get a snow shovel
- make arrangements for childcare
- review your travel plans
- check your car

- avoid using your car unless really necessary but if you have to Drive safely
- check the weather at the Met Office and BBC Weather
- help by clearing snow and ice in your area
